‘History of Antisemitism’

Description:

TUESDAYS | 12:30pm | Manhattan
FRIDAYS | 12:15pm | East Hampton

The term ‘antisemitism’ may be just over a hundred years old, but the phenomenon of antisemitism dates back a millennium. Join Rabbi Josh Franklin of the Jewish Center of the Hamptons in Manhattan (Tuesdays) and East Hampton (Fridays), for a thought-provoking lecture series, ‘History of Antisemitism’.

For centuries, Jews have confronted discrimination, persecution, and slaughter—during the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the Russian pogroms, and the Holocaust.

Join us for this 10-week class, March 10 through May 22, that delves deeply into the history of Antisemitism – from the many heads of the historic hydra, to the recent resurgence we have seen around the globe. We will address the cause, the effect and implications for the future.

To register, visit jcoh.org/adultlearning or contact JCOH at 631-324-9858. Free for members. One-time charge of $200 for non-members for all 10 sessions.
