Southampton---The Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Hamptons holds its Twenty Fifth Annual Greek Pastry Sale this holiday season and opens it’s beautiful Christmas Boutique. Just in time for Thanksgiving, Chanukah and Christmas, these special treats and unique gifts are sure to be enjoyed by all at holiday gatherings.
Traditional Baklava (phyllo pastry with honey and walnuts), Kourambiethes (powdered sugar cookies), Koulourakia (tea cookies), Spanakopita (spinach-filled phyllo), Tiropita (cheese-filled phyllo) and Finikia (honey-dipped nut cookies) ALL BAKED BY THE LADIES OF THE HAMPTONS PHILOPTOCHOS AND P.T.O.
These home-made delicacies can be pre-ordered for your holiday celebrations by calling the Church office at 631-283-6169 or by visiting the Church website www.dormitionhamptons.org.
The Greek Pastries will also be SOLD by the Pastry Chefs themselves on
Saturday November 22nd from 9:00AM-1PM at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Hamptons, outside the POST OFFICES in Sag Harbor, Riverhead, Bridgehampton, East Quogue and Montauk.
The pastries are also available throughout the Season at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Hamptons akaliko, where you will also find a variety of Greek delicacies, gifts for the whole family, as well as books and religious items. The Boutique is open through Christmas Eve Thursday – Saturday 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, and on Sundays from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM located at 111 St. Andrews Road, SH, NY.
PICK UP TIMES
Orders can be picked up at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Hamptons and at the designated Bake Sale Stations above from 9:00AM-1:00PM. Orders on November 23, can be picked up only at the Cathedral.
The purpose of the Greek Pastry Sale is to raise funds for the Philanthropic Ministries, Cultural Events and Educational Programs of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Hamptons. The Church is appealing to local businesses, friends and supporters to help with this holiday fundraiser. You don’t want to miss it!
