Speaker and Speaker info: Anthony Marinello, owner of Dropseed Native Landscaping, will explain how East Enders can transform their yards into a life-sustaining native plant environment for people and wildlife. Focusing on early spring plants, wildlife and garden "clean-up" dos and don'ts, Anthony will take questions from the participants in this free Zoom lecture, hosted by the East End chapter of ReWild Long Island. He’s been featured in Newsday and the Long Island Herald and was elected to the Board of the Long Island Native Plant initiative (LINPI) in 2021. An experienced public speaker, Anthony presents talks on “pocket prairies” and other Long Island-specific themes. His previous talk for ReWild Long Island can be accessed on the ReWild Long Island website.
His website dropseednativelandscapesli.com offers free how-tos on gardening, and he sends a lively weekly email message on seasonal topics, like “leaving the leaves” or “spring garden clean-ups” to everyone who signs up. During this public lecture, Anthony will explain what we can do in our gardens to support critical habitat and wildlife such as caterpillars, fireflies, and bees.
