The Women’s Art Center of the Hamptons (WACH) is pleased to present a series of workshops introducing the elegance and simplicity of Ikebana, the art of Japanese flower arranging. Led by Julie Jensen, these sessions will include a brief history of Ikebana, live demonstrations, and hands-on arrangements created by participants.
Using seasonal flowers, branches, greens, and containers, students will craft both basic and freestyle arrangements to enjoy at home. All plant materials are included in the workshop fee. Participants should bring a shallow container with sides approximately 2–3 inches high and about 9 inches in diameter (a Pyrex pie plate, quiche dish, or florist’s design tray works well) to the first class.
These workshops are perfect for anyone curious about Ikebana or looking to spend a peaceful morning creating something beautiful in a relaxed group setting,
$75 per class or $200 for the series (3 classes). Visit wachamptonsny.org to reserve your space.
