JHB Gallery, in collaboration with Jetsam Studio, is pleased to host a book signing by artist Jaanika Peerna.
Glacier Elegies is a new monograph exploring the artist's internationally acclaimed series of performance works lamenting the loss of glaciers and natural ice. Published in 2022 by Terra Nova Press and distributed by MIT Press, the publication includes essays and an interview with the artist, and presents Peerna’s performance work in the context of her broader practice of drawing and installation.
To coincide with the book signing, we are also delighted to present a new site-specific work by the artist, and highlight a series of Peerna’s framed works on Mylar.
