Jettykoon gets its name from the imaginary raccoon who inhabited the ocean jetty at Ditch Plains Beach in the summer of 2008. The band’s creator’s first child Cashus was 2 years old at the time, and together they spent that summer in an endless quest among the jetty’s magical sea creatures for the Jettykoon. By that time the music had been brewing for years and so with a unique name and heaps of inspiration their acoustic groove rock journey began. Eastern Long Island musicians make up the band: Thomas Muse (guitar,vocals,songwriting), William Lucey (bass), Chris Mehos (percussion,vocals), and Bosco Michne (lead guitar, vocals ). The house band at The Montauket Montauk N.Y. since 2009. Well-crafted original songs mixed with cherished songs from the likes of Johnny Cash, John Prine, Marvin Gay, Allman Brothers, Beck and more. The band takes pride in creating their own live sound production to guarantee a 'never too loud' listening vibe. Jettykoon shows are all about the people, the place and the music in harmony.
