John McEnroe's nonprofit, the Johnny Mac Tennis Project (JMTP), transforms young lives by removing the racial, economic and social barriers to success through tennis. Under-resourced New York City area children are first introduced to tennis as a life-long health, fitness and social activity. For our most dedicated young athletes, JMTP provides a pathway to success through competitive tennis, leading to college scholarships, careers in the industry, and, for a few, professional tennis careers and, perhaps, Grand Slam titles.

Our annual tournament is one of the largest Pro-Am tournaments in the world, fielding 64 pros and 64 amateurs, on 33 courts, with participants including tennis legends, JMTP program athletes, spectators from around the world, and John McEnroe himself! The Pro-Am, the largest in the country, is attended by an elite group of influencers, celebrities, professional athletes, industry titans and New York society.
