The 8th Annual JMTP Pro Am will take place on August 27, 2022 at Sportime Amagansett. This event is the largest, one-day, Pro Am tournament in the world and raises funds to provide access to tennis for under-resourced kids in the NYC area. The event is co-hosted by John and Patrick McEnroe and welcomes 144 participants, including 9 tennis legends, current and former ATP & WTA tour players, 72 amateur players, as well as spectators and guests. Those who attend can bid on exclusive items and experiences throughout the day via curated silent and live auctions. Light fare and refreshments will be served.
The Johnny Mac Tennis Project (JMTP) changes young lives by removing the racial, economic and social barriers to success through tennis. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by tennis legend John McEnroe and others, JMTP introduces the sport of tennis as a life-long health, fitness and social activity to thousands of under-resourced New York City area children. For a smaller group of dedicated young athletes, JMTP provides a pathway to success through competitive tennis, leading to college scholarships, careers in the industry, and, for a few, professional tennis careers and, perhaps, Grand Slam titles.
