Ladies of Liberty: 100 Years Strong – A Virtual Concert Celebrating the Centennial Suffrage and the History of Women’s Rights in America with Valerie diLorenzo

Description:

The Friends of the Rogers Memorial Library, Southampton History Museum, East End Libraries and League of Women Voters of the Hamptons, Shelter Island and the North Fork present Ladies of Liberty: 100 Years Strong – A Virtual Concert Celebrating the Centennial Suffrage and the History of Women’s Rights in America with Valerie diLorenzo. This pre-recorded musical revue, featuring NYC award-winning cabaret artist Valerie diLorenzo, celebrates the 2020 Centennial of women’s right to vote and traces the history of women’s rights in America. She will start at the beginning, with connections to the early Civil Rights movement, and bring us all the way to the modern feminist legacy, #MeToo movement and female empowerment, through exuberant, lively, sometimes humorous – and often touching-songs. If you need assistance setting up Zoom, contact techsupport@myrml.org. Co-Sponsored with the Rogers Memorial Library.
