One morning in June of 1854, the quiet farming community of Cutchogue awoke to find out that a horrifying tragedy had happened within the borders of their peaceful hamlet. The double murder of Frances and James Wickham not only shocked and horrified the local community but also reverberated throughout the northeast of the United States.
