A Live Music/Silent Films Festival will be held on four consecutive Friday evenings August 8 through 29 at the Jamesport Meeting House, 1590 Main Rd. in Jamesport. The Live Music/Silent Films Festival will feature live music performed by The Aquebogue Contemporary Music Ensemble to accompany silent films specially-curated by artist, composer and filmmaker, Cliff Baldwin.
August 8 – “Voyages to the Moon,” two different journeys by George Méliés and Segundo De Chomon, along with new footage from NASA.
August 15 – “Home Movies” featuring Sigmund Freud and other American family film rarities.
August 22 – “Deep Sea Adventures” with mysterious creatures of the ultra-deep oceans, with Germaine Dulac’s “The Seashell” and “The Clergyman.”
August 29 – A.I. films of the filmmaker’s dreams and other subconscious creations along with surrealist cinematic treats like Francis Picabia’s “Entr’Acte.”
