LTV Presents: The Standards of Love

Description:

LTV Studios and Josh Gladstone welcome the beloved art form of cabaret back to East Hampton by hosting a brand new concert series entitled American Songbook…Then & Now. This five-part series celebrates the classic cabaret stylings of the great American Songbook as performed and interpreted by some of the region’s finest artists. The next performance, The Standards of Love, will take place on Tuesday, August 29th at 7:30 p.m. at LTV Studios (75 Industrial Road, Wainscott, NY 11975) and stars Sal Viviano. Tickets can be purchased by texting LTVVIVIANO to 41444 or by clicking the link: https://bit.ly/3NZ5TLV. Producer Josh Gladstone, who Executive Director Michael Clark brought onboard earlier this year to produce performing arts at LTV, has presented theatrical events and musical concerts in the area for many years (including over two decades at Guild Hall, where cabaret flourished). Gladstone has invited a roster of topnotch talent to inaugurate this dynamic new series in LTV’s intimate, black-box Studio Three Theater.

Join veteran Broadway, television and film actor Sal Viviano, a Backstage and Broadway World Award-winning crooner, in an evening of some of the greatest songs of the 20th Century, written by the prolific and celebrated songwriters from Tin Pan Alley and Hollywood, and popularized by some of the most iconic singers ever recorded. Hailed recently by The New York Times as “… a luxuriant vocalist with an effortless style…”, this promises to be a flight of gorgeous reminiscences and melodies intimately performed by one of Broadway’s top leading men.

SAL VIVIANO:
A Detroit native, Viviano began his career as a teenager opening for comedy greats of the last generation in Chicago and showrooms throughout the Midwest (often in clubs he was too young to enter). In 1984, Sal was moved to New York City to make his Broadway debut in the lavish production of The Three Musketeers. He has since played co-starring roles in the Broadway hits Romance/Romance, City of Angels, Falsettos, The Life and The Full Monty. Off-Broadway, Viviano co-starred more recently in the revival of Maltby and Shire’s Closer Than Ever and in previous seasons originated leading roles in The Big Time, Golf, The Musical, Beau Jest, Cather County, Werid Romance, Catch Me If I Fall, Broadway Jukebox and Hamlet: The Opera.
