Artist Bio
Manny’s drawings, paintings and poems are fueled by a life immersed in surfing. He often writes and draws immediately after surfing to capture magical moments, feelings, and the overall “lightness of being” achieved from the exhilaration of gliding on waves. Manny claims that the expressions, if not recorded with discipline and urgency, would be lost and forgotten in daily responsibilities. His artwork and poems are clues to the mystery and beauty of life.
The 24 original ink drawings on exhibition at Grain Surfboards and Stick + Stone were drawn in the month of May and are ongoing concepts for future paintings. Poetry books available.
