The Mattituck Lions Club will be hosting their 67th Annual Strawberry Festival presented by the Peconic Bay Medical Center – Northwell Health. The event will take place over Father’s Day weekend, June 15-19, 2022 in Mattituck, New York. This is a charitable event and all proceeds will be donated to philanthropic and community causes.
For the second year in a row, the carnival will open on Wednesday night with the return of our local favorite Hulling night along with the carnival, midway and international food court from Reithoffer Shows. Thursday will feature our inaugural Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Festival Talent Show followed by the first of three consecutive nights of spectacular fireworks presented by Mattituck Environmental Services. We’ll also kick-off with a full slate of arts & craft vendors, business exhibits, and our one-of-a kind strawberry shortcake, chocolate covered strawberries and alcohol-free strawberry daiquiris.
Starting Friday night, we’ve got live music featuring reggae rock pop band Aqua Cherry continuing into Saturday with the North Fork’s own Points East followed by Dancefloor NY to close out the evening. Saturday also features the crowning of the 2022-2023 Strawberry Queen at 4pm and the return of the World Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest from Major League Eating. The festival comes to a close on Sunday, June 19th with more live entertainment from animal handler Nature Nick and family entertainer Jester Jim culminating with the announcement of the winner of the Big Bucks Raffle at 4:30pm.
