The roller-coaster ride of what it means to be human is acknowledged and intensified through the liturgies of the Lenten Season. Joy and welcome erupt into rejection and betrayal; hope and trust disintegrate in despair and suspicion. Through it all Jesus remembers God’s promise to raise him through self-emptying love into everlasting life. We will reflect on living a fully human life that encompasses fear, faith, risk and trust – always remember God’s promise and accompaniment.
