East End Jazz, a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and expanding the world of jazz, invites the community to embark on a captivating musical journey around the globe. This free concert, "Music Around the Globe," will be held on Wednesday, June 11th at 6:30 PM at the historic Southampton History Museum, located at 17 Meeting House Lane in Southampton. Admission to this unique and enriching program is free for all ages, though seating is limited and RSVPs are required.
"Music Around the Globe" will transport audiences to diverse cultures through the vibrant and improvisational lens of jazz. This special concert will showcase beloved songs from an array of international traditions, including tender lullabies, passionate love songs, timeless folk tunes, and even memorable soundtracks. What makes this performance truly unique is its musical connection to the museum’s rich history, with all pieces reimagined through the distinctive spirit of jazz.
Attendees will discover the diversity and beauty of music from a wide range of countries, including the US, Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, South Africa, Italy, France, Germany, South Korea, and Japan.
