The Wainscott Heritage Project and Build.In.Kind/East Hampton invite you to a screening of the documentary film "One Big Home" —A Community Determines Its Own Destiny, followed by a Panel Discussion and Q&A with the filmmaker Thomas Bena and Special Guests.
"One Big Home" documents how citizens of Chilmark Town on Martha’s Vineyard came together and passed changes to their bylaws that limited house size in order to respect and protect the history, character, environment and quality of life of their community.
Though a deeply “local” and personal story, One Big Home resonates broadly, here in East Hampton and beyond. It’s a testament to how the active engagement of citizens can achieve constructive change.
We acknowledge the generous support of the following organizations and individuals (list in formation): Our Hamptons Podcast, Irwin T. Levy, LTV Studios, and Jaine Mehring.
