Students explore the foundations of jazz dance, which combines classical ballet with modern dance as well as being introduced to Jazz Funk which is a quicker paced style inspired by Hip Hop dance. Through these diverse and energetic dance styles, students will learn new skills, improve flexibility, and hone their dance technique. Classic and modern Choreographers such as Bob Fosse and Brian Friedman will be studied, students will have the opportunity to learn weekly dance combinations, and also choreograph their own movement.
