Our Fabulous Variety Show (OFVS) is excited to announce the next performance in their new theatre opportunity - The Staged Series - a creative venture that provides adult actors opportunities to pitch and participate in shows for readings. The Staged Series will kick off 2023 with a staged reading of Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling. This full-length play, based on the playwright’s own life experiences, is a comedy-drama set in a beauty salon in Louisiana in the early 1980s and features an all-female cast. The women spend their time in the beauty salon gossiping, joking, and comforting each other through life’s hurdles. The cast includes Anita Boyer, Kasia Klimiuk, Krissy Feleppa, Ellora DeCarlo, Rachel Feldman and Nicky Seitz, under the direction of Joe Pallister. The reading will be at LTV Studios in Wainscott on Saturday, January 28th at 6pm. Admission is donation-based (suggested donation of $20) but all are welcome and any amount is greatly appreciated. The Staged Series is open to all adult actors in the community and will continue throughout the winter season.
