The Hampton Ballet Theatre School, the classical training ground of the East End, will be performing the delightful ballet Peter and the Wolf. The production is a collaboration between the Hampton Ballet Theatre School, the Hampton Festival Orchestra and narrator Keith Cornelius.
Peter and the Wolf will be danced by the students of the Hampton Ballet Theatre School. The ballet is choreographed by HBTS director Sara Jo Strickland and features the beautiful costumes of Yuka Silvera and Kate McManus. The score will be played by the Hampton Festival Orchestra, a group of professional musicians hailing from the East End. They are conducted under the passionate precision of Dr. Andrew Perea.
Sergei Prokofiev’s famous score introduces the ballet’s characters as the sounds of musical instruments. The East End community will be enchanted by this magical interpretation of a classical masterpiece.
Please join us for our HBTS Summer tradition, Peter and the Wolf, as it comes alive for our community. This ballet is a treat for all ages!
