Connor Flanagan, the Southampton History Museum’s Director of Education will be at the Rogers Memorial Library giving a talk about Pyrrhus Concer. Pyrrhus was born the son of one of Nathaniel Cooper’s slaves and spent the first few years of his life living on the grounds of what is now the Rogers Memorial Library. Over time Pyrrhus gained his freedom, became a successful whaler and saw more of the world than many today ever get a chance to. Come learn the tales of one of Southampton’s greatest residents. Co-Sponsored with the Rogers Memorial Library.
