Rosie The Riveters – WWII with Pat DelGiorno via Zoom. “Yes We Can” became the rallying cry for women in WWII. Answering their country’s call, women rolled up their sleeves and went to work wherever they were needed. When almost all able-bodied men went off to fight, women took their place on the home front, serving as riveters, pilots, nurses, scientists and truck drivers. This talk will focus on the “Rosies” and how the women’s work influenced the course of the war, and, conversely, how the war work affected the women’s lives If you need assistance setting up Zoom, contact techsupport@myrml.org. Co-Sponsored with the Rogers Memorial Library.
