Program Leader: LeighAnn Montaglione, SOFO Environmental Educator
Dunes are an important part of the coastal East End environment of Long Island’s South Fork. Join LeighAnn as we hike through the unique Walking Dunes in Montauk. We’ll talk about their importance to the ecosystem and find some animals along the way. On this nature walk you’ll learn how dunes are made, why these dunes are called the Walking Dunes, and discover what animals you can find in the dune environment.
There is a $15 fee for Adults and $10 fee for children for this program. Members only pay materials fee.
