Editor Tod Roulette will present his book, Souls of Queer Black Folk: Queering Black History Month. Contributors to the anthology will join Roulette: writers, clergy, and students who contributed stories of their lived experiences to the collection.
Contributors include black Baptist and Episcopal clergy discussing church politics and its closet. Academics, professional writers, and undergrad students contribute a robust variety of stories, lived experiences, and histories of black queer people and help regenerate their importance.
Roulette writes on arts and culture. His work has appeared in Harlem World magazine, Paper Magazine, OUT, Men's Style and others. His academic concentration is on Women and Gender Studies, LGBTQ Studies, and specific cultural focus on the American Civil War and issues of race and gender.
