Southampton Artists Association Labor Day Art Exhibit - Opening Reception

Description:

Southampton Artists Association (SAA) will hold its annual Labor Day Exhibit this year from September 1st thru September 12th, at the Levitas center for the Arts located at the Southampton Cultural Center.
“The Labor Day Exhibit kicks off fall art season at the Southampton Cultural Center,” stated board member Paul Dempsey, “Our shows are always well represented, and we will be introducing a number of new members.” SAA members are comprised of professional and amateur artists, with several award winning artists among them.
Approx. 40 local east end artists will be participating as they showcase their oils, acrylics, mixed media, sculptures and photography. “Most of all the works are for sale, including many bin items at reasonable prices,” noted board member Danielle Leef.
The varied art show will debut on Wednesday, September 1st and run through Sunday, September 13th. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, September 4th from 4 to 6 pm. Admission is always free and the event is open to the public. If you are interested in hearing the story behind a piece, many of the artists will attend these receptions.
