Spring has long been a haven for artists, nurturing a legacy of creativity that includes groundbreaking figures like Lee Krasner, Miriam Shapiro Joan Semmel, whose bold visions shaped the Abstract Expressionist movement. Drawing on this rich history, "Springs Women: Small Works at the Library" highlights the ongoing influence of women artists in the community, celebrating their contributions through a selection of works that are 12"X12" or smaller, including a few small-scale sculptures.

Curator Casey Dane, a Springs resident and dedicated advocate for the local arts community has thoughtfully selected works that capture the diverse perspectives of these artists. From delicate landscapes inspired by the natural beauty of Springs to abstract compositions that echo the energy of the area's artistic heritage, each piece is a testament to the enduring creative spirit of the Springs artistic community.
