YAWP Summer Writing Workshops for Teen Writers mentor young people in the development of creative expression and critical thinking through writing. Sponsored by the Lichtenstein Center on Stony Brook University’s Southampton campus, this online creative writing workshop will explore fiction, poetry, dialogue, and personal narrative. By week’s end, students have several pieces of work suitable for submission to their school newspapers, local press, or their own online blog. Each student will participate in an online reading of their work with will be recorded so they may share with family and friends.
