The Russian invasion of Ukraine has affected the East End in many ways. One of the most personal is with the residents of the East End who have family and friends in Ukraine who are directly impacted by the war.
We have 4 staff members here at Sen that are from Ukraine and as you can imagine they are very concerned about the situation in their country as they all have friends and family still there, therefore we are putting our Japanese influence aside for a day and doing a fundraiser featuring Ukrainian Food and Culture in our garden at SEN Restaurant, 23 Main Street, Sag Harbor, NY 11963
On Sunday, April 10th from 1pm - 5pm our staff will be making traditional Ukrainian foods & beverages, we will be featuring Ukrainian culture as well as kid's activities.
The menu, which will be made from scratch by our Ukrainian staff, (just like babusya used to do!) will consist of:
Golybci (stuffed cabbage)
Borshch
Homemade Breads with Salo
Darynu (Latke)
Varenuku (Dumplings)
Donuts and more.....
All made with ingredients donated by the local farms including Balsam Farm and Amber Waves.
Beverages have been graciously provided by Royal Wine Corporation and Park Place Wines.
In addition to our food and activities, we will be hosting a silent auction.
