The Peconic Land Trust presents the next lecture in their Long Island Grown Series, The 2020 Growing Season: A Look Back with Local Farmers.
2020 was a year like no other. The impact of the pandemic was felt by all, including local farmers who rose to the challenge of planting, tending, and harvesting their crops while facing obstacles brought on by COVID-19. Please join them for a look back on the season, hear their stories of obstacles faced, and learn some surprises they found along the way as they worked to manage a renewed desire for fresh, locally grown produce.
Panelists include Chris Browder of Browder's Birds, Layton Guenther, Director of the Peconic Land Trust's Quail Hill Farm, and Will Lee of Sang Lee Farms. The moderator is Laura Donnelly, food writer for the East Hampton star and local pastry chef.
