Bill Chaleff believes that there are stories written in every building. Built circa 1680, the Halsey Homestead is the oldest house in the village and has a very rich history. What may surprise many is the story it tells of how attuned our ancestors were to some of the fundamentals we think of today as “Green” architecture. Mr. Chaleff knows how to read the stories our homes have to tell and will share his insights into what the Halsey Homestead is telling us about building “Green.”
