Join us after-hours at our rumrunning exhibition, where Francine Whitney will tell us all about the music of the Prohibition era — its roots, its early development, and how it became a nationwide phenomenon. She will illustrate with photos and the fabulous music of the time.
Francine, who has been lead female vocalist in a number of swing bands, including her own swing band trio, specializes in swing and jazz standards from the 1920s through the 1960s. After her talk, enjoy a beverage as you stroll through our interactive exhibition, HOW DRY WE WEREN’T: RUMRUNNING & MOONSHINE IN MONTAUK.
Space is limited, so please reserve! Recommended donation of $20 at the door or on the MHS website.
