BILL CHAMPLIN (performed in Chicago for 28 years)
Two-time GRAMMY® award winner Bill Champlin formed his first band in 1961 and the Sons of Champlin in 1965. 1977, Bill moved to Los Angeles where he worked with many artists including, Elton John, Neil Diamond, and Kenny Rodgers. 1979 he won his first Grammy award for co-writing “After the Love Has Gone”, which was later recorded by Earth, Wind & Fire. In 1981 he won another Grammy for co-writing Turn Your Love Around for George Benson, and released his second solo album that year, “Runaway”. In 1982 he joined Chicago to record Chicago 16. Bill spent 28 years with Chicago, but has since left the band and pursues both his solo career and Sons of Champlin.
KEITH HOWLAND (performed in Chicago for 27 years)
Multi Talented – Lead guitarist for the veteran pop-rock band Chicago from 1995-2021. Keith Howland, has been performing well over 30 years. Starting out his career with artists such as Rick Springfield, Patty Smyth, and jazz saxophonist Warren Hill, Howland caught on in early 1995 with the “legendary rock band with horns” Chicago for almost 27 years doing over 100 shows a year with the band. A few years into his tenure with the band he found himself singing a handful of lead vocals as well handling guitar duties. Writing songs for the band, recording many albums, playing for Presidents, performing at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, sold out shows at Hollywood Bowl with the LA Symphony, multiple television appearances, and international touring.
JEFF COFFEY (performed in Chicago for 2 years)
Former lead vocalist of world-renowned Hall of Fame band Chicago and former bassist for Hall of Famer Don Felder (The Eagles), Jeff Coffey performed with the best. Though it is his own accolades as an independent solo artist that sets him apart as a true creator. Jeff has performed alongside Hootie and the Blowfish, Edwin McCain, Vertical Horizon, Sixpence None the Richer, Earth Wind and Fire, The Doobie Brothers, etc. Jeff has two singles in the Top 20 of the charts and won Song of the Year and Male Solo Act of the Year from Songwriters Showcase of America. Jeff also has placement on several national TV networks.
GORDEN CAMPBELL (performed in Earth, Wind & Fire for 3 years)
Gorden Campbell began playing drums at the age of 5 in his grandfather’s church. In 1993, Gorden was on the worldwide tour with Shai. In 1994, Gorden moved to Los Angeles. Since the move to L.A., Gorden has been blessed to have worked with some of the entertainment industry’s top artists and entertainers. He has worked with a wide variety of artists including Earth, Wind & Fire, George Duke, Hervie Hancock, Stanley Clarke, Mary J. Blige and Jessica Simpson to name a few. He is also the musical director for the artist Ne-Yo.
