Weekly Service for Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the South Fork

Description:

Mercy: What?...When?...Why?

Some of us may remember an early encounter with the concept of mercy upon reading Portia's famous speech in Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice: "The quality of mercy is not strain'd; it droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath:..."A beautiful sentiment. Might mercy have a role to play in our lives as 21st-century UU's? Might a call to mercy be at the core of our own faith? Explore with us these questions -- and our theme for March: mercy.
