Water: The Source of Life

Many claim water as a source of life. Yet, around the world, millions face water scarcity. How can we contribute to more just access to the world's resources. Join us for our annual Water Communion, a ritual that celebrates the joining of our many individual paths to one common vessel. Perhaps you are bringing water from a far-away vacation. Or you may share water from our very own Peconic Bay. Wherever your life has taken you this summer, you are invited to bring a small amount of water that has some significance for you.

Speakers: Rev. Kimberly Quinn Johnson

Musician: Robert Secrist

Musician Bio: Robert Secrist, guitar virtuoso. In a lineage that dates back to the 19th century, Secrist's world renowned teachers have included, Andres Segovia, the Spanish great grandfather of the classical guitar whose Bach transcriptions were a first and instantly elevated the status of the instrument. Additionally, Secrist studied with Leonid Bolotine, violinist in the legendary NBC Orchestra under the baton of Arturo Toscanini. Secrist brings this precious, unbroken chain of interpretive genius into the 21st century.
