Why Doesn't She Just Leave?
Domestic violence affects an entire community and it will take a community to shine a light and bring it to an end. Pamela Greinke, who has over 14 years of experience working in the field of domestic abuse and sexual assault will share with our congregation about the work she does with her new nonprofit Hope and Resilience Long Island. One in 4 women and one in 7 men will experience some form of domestic abuse, or Intimate Partner violence, in their lifetime. Nationally, three women per day will die from domestic violence. This epidemic is not a "family matter" that can stay behind closed doors.
