Cured Meats And Wine Dinner

East Hampton restaurant Nick & Toni’s will hold a dinner pairing La Quercia cured meats, from Iowa, and Channing Daughters wine, from Bridgehampton, on Wednesday, September 21, at 6:30 p.m.

Herb Eckhouse of La Quercia and James Christopher Tracy of Channing Daughters will talk about their crafts.

A cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres will precede the four-course dinner. Among the meats on the menu are nduja, coppa, prosciutto, and prosciutto Americano. The cost is $95 for dinner wine pairings, or $75 for dinner with soft beverages only, plus tax and gratuity. Slow Food members receive a $10 discount.

Garlic Festival

Garden of Eve Organic Farm in Riverhead will host the 13th annual Long Island Garlic Festival this weekend to celebrate food and farming and offer fun for families.

The festival will feature organic garlic and garlic-inspired foods, as well as crafts, live music and information on sustainability. Activities include junior Garlic Iron Chef competitions, garlic bingo, garlic cooking demonstrations, garlic-growing workshops, garlic-eating contests hayrides and pony rides.

The festival runs Saturday, September 17, and Sunday, September 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Garden of Eve is located at 4558 Sound Avenue. Admission is $5 at the door, and free for children under 6. For more information, visit gardenofevefarm.com.

Oktoberfest

Southampton Publick House, which moved to 62 Jobs Lane in Southampton Village earlier this year, will hold its annual Oktoberfest celebration on Friday, September 30.

The brewpub will tap its 2016 Oktoberfest Lager, a Märzen-style beer with four types of imprted German malts, when happy hour starts at 4 p.m. German dinner specials will include sauerbraten, ale-braised short ribs, bratwurst and knockwurst, horseradish-crust cod and smoked salmon salad.

Harvest Party On The Horizon

The 206 grape harvest has began and Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack will celebrate with its popular annual Harvest Party next month when the vineyard will offer food, wine, cider, live music and activities for families.

Activities include barrel-rolling, grape-stomping, a wine-making relay race, pony rides, a petting zoo, and hay rides.

New this year, a contest will be held for kids and adults who arrive in traditional German attire: Lederhosen and Dirndl.

The Wölffer Estate Harvest Party will run from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 8. The rain date is Sunday, October 9. General admission is $145, or $125 for wine club members. For children age 2 to 12, admission is $80. Children under 2 are free. Call 631-537-5106, extension 32,
