Eleven Madison Park, the lauded contemporary American restaurant that will open a Hamptons pop-up this summer in Amagansett, has been named the No. 1 restaurant in the world for 2017 on S.Pellegrino’s The World’s 50 Best, an annual list of outstanding chefs and restaurants.
Eleven Madison Park had previously been named the No. 1 restaurant in North America.
While the restaurant in Manhattan is closed for renovations this summer, the chef, manager and much of the staff will operate EMP Summer House on Pantigo Road at the site that most recently housed Moby’s.
The restaurateurs plan to update the kitchen equipment and give the building some TLC before opening.
