The Pridwin Hotel on Shelter Island is launching a new Fall Sunday Suppers Series, running September 28 through October 19. Each Sunday from 5 to 8:30 p.m., Executive Chef Todd Ruiz will present a rotating, family-style menu highlighting seasonal East End ingredients. Sparkling Pointe Names New Head Winemaker

Sparkling Pointe, the North Fork winery dedicated exclusively to méthode champenoise sparkling wines, has named Andrew Rockwell as its new head winemaker. A member of the production team since 2008, Rockwell steps into the role just in time to oversee the 2025 harvest now underway.

With more than 16 years of experience and a background in engineering, Rockwell has spent the past eight years working closely with founding winemaker Gilles Martin, helping to refine Sparkling Pointe’s signature style. His first harvest at the helm offers him the chance to shape the winery’s next vintage from grape to glass, blending precision with a philosophy of honoring each year’s unique character while pursuing continual refinement.

Levain Bakery Celebrates National Black & White Cookie Day

In honor of National Black & White Cookie Day on September 14, Levain Bakery is bringing back a fan favorite: the Black & White Chocolate Chip Cookie. Available Friday, September 12, through Monday, September 15, at all Levain locations nationwide and online for coast-to-coast shipping, the limited-edition cookie is made with extra dark cocoa, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and chunky white chocolate pieces — Levain’s decadent twist on the classic New York treat.

First introduced last year at Levain’s Flatiron bakery, the cookie sold out quickly and has since become one of the bakery’s most requested specials. This September marks its much-anticipated return, just in time for cookie lovers to join the celebration.
