Rowdy Hall Brings Oktoberfest to Amagansett with German Fare and Beer Tastings

Lederhosen might be optional, but Rowdy Hall is leaning fully into Oktoberfest this fall, celebrating the season with Bavarian-inspired food and beer from Saturday, September 20, through Sunday, October 6.

The celebration begins at the bar, where guests can settle in with warm Bavarian pretzels served alongside house-made beer mustard or savor rich German beer cheese with rye toast. From there, the festivities continue with a nightly two-course prix fixe menu offered from 5 p.m. on for $42, with the kitchen rolling out a new lineup each week. Early in the celebration, the spotlight falls on hearty sausages — knockwurst and bratwurst plated with German potato salad and spicy beer mustard, followed by a rustic apple cake, or Apfelkuchen, drizzled with honey and sprinkled with almonds. As the festival moves into late September, the focus shifts to Kasseler Rippchen, a traditional pork chop accompanied by crisp potato pancakes and warm Halsey Farm apple sauce, with dessert taking the form of a molten chocolate Black Forest cake layered with cherry compote and whipped cream. In October, the finale arrives with classic Wiener schnitzel paired with braised red cabbage and golden beets, and the evening ends on a sweet note with flaky apple strudel studded with pecans and topped with apple caramel and whipped cream.

Of course, no Oktoberfest would be complete without German beer. Rowdy Hall will be pouring $8 pints of traditional Oktoberfest styles, as well as offering a tasting flight for $16 that allows guests to sample three ten-ounce pours of Löwenbräu Oktoberfestbier, Hofbräu Original Helles, and Sand City Oktoberfest.

For more information, call 631-324-8555 or visit rowdyhall.com.

R.AIRE Rolls Out Off-Season Specials in Hampton Bays

As the busy summer season winds down, R.AIRE at The Hampton Maid is gearing up to welcome locals and visitors with a slate of new daily specials designed to bring people together over tapas, cocktails, and Chef Alex Bujoreanu’s signature Mediterranean flavors.

Beginning Tuesday, October 14, R.AIRE will adjust to its off-season schedule, closing on Sundays and Mondays, while rolling out new promotions throughout the week. Guests can start with Happy Hour at the bar, offered Tuesday through Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring half-price tapas and salads along with special pricing on wine, beer, and cocktails. Tuesdays are all about $1 oysters, and on Wednesdays the beloved R.AIRE Burger will be offered at half off.

The restaurant, led by Chef Bujoreanu, continues to showcase a menu rooted in his Spanish heritage.
