Charcuterie Class

Oakland’s Restaurant in Hampton Bays will host a Charcuterie Masterclass on Saturday, February 8, from noon to 3 p.m. Come meet the renowned Charcuterie Queen, Corrina Cafarelli, who has appeared on the “Drew Barrymore Show,” and create a custom charcuterie board to take home, just In time for Super Bowl.

Kick off the afternoon with 30 minutes of small bites and a welcome drink, beginning at noon. Then, dive into a 90-minute hands-on charcuterie class and one of Oakland’s signature cocktails.

The cost of the class is $125 per person and reservations are required at oaklandsrestaurant.net/book-an-event/charcuterie-amp-cocktails. Oakland’s Restaurant is at 373 Dune Road in Hampton Bays.

Cittanuova’s Winter Prix Fixe

Cittanuova restaurant in East Hampton just rolled out a price fixe menu for the winter. The $39 menu includes three courses and is available from Sunday to Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m. The menu is not available during holidays. It includes a choice of an antipasti, a secondi and dolce. From the antipasti menu, options include zuppa minestrone, hummus e pane, mozzarella fritta, carciofo e cavolo and carpaccio ($7 supplement). Secondi options include Melanzane, orecchiette classic, chicken Milanese, salmone verde ($10 supplement), tagliata di manzo (15 supplement) or a chef’s choice entrée of the night. Dolce choices are pane e cioccolata, tiramisu, gelato, sorbet (or any dessert from the main menu for a $5 supplement).

Winter Deals at The 1770 House

 

The 1770 House Restaurant & Inn warms up winter with new and favorite dining offerings.

Included are a new Sunday to Thursday Early Bird Deal of two-courses for $50 and a $10 glass of house wine for guests seated between 5:30 and 6 p.m. The deal began Monday, January 20, and runs until Thursday, March 20, excluding Sunday, February 16.

Also available is a continued nightly $65 two-course prix fixe menu, the Tavern a la carte menu and the take out menu with fine dining and Tavern favorites available from 5:30 p.m. All menus may be viewed at 177house.com/restaurant.

On the fine dining menu now are Chef Michael Rozzi’s signature mainstays with new seasonal preparations. Joining a house favorite starter, Montauk fluke tartare, is a mussels and saffron chowder and baked stuffed clams. Salads highlight local greens, butternut squash and beets from Balsam Farms. Braised and roasted preparations are among the winter main dishes. Braised Berkshire pork cheeks are served with house-made raviolo, whipped sheep’s milk ricotta, hen of the woods mushrooms and tomato-pork jus. Rabbit leg is braised with paprika and cider and served over nutmeg spiced spätzle. Roasted chicken is served with Channing Daughters Ramato jus. Seafood dishes include seared Atlantic scallops with citrus braised leeks and roasted sweet potatoes with a bacon-miso emulsion and Scottish salmon with cauliflower purée and baby kale salad.

Downstairs, in addition to the fine dining prix fixe menu, the Tavern offerings include house favorite meatloaf and Tavern burger made with chef’s proprietary recipe, using pasture-raised beef from local Acabonac Farms, along with seasonal appetizers from the fine dining menu.

Daily Specials at the Bell & Anchor

The Bell & Anchor in Noyac has reopened after a short winter break and is now offering daily specials every Tuesday through Sunday beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The specials include chicken Milanese night $36 on Tuesday, Lobster night on Wednesday with lobster entrees from $42 to $72, Bouillabaisse night on Thursday for $48 and moules frites night on Sunday for $34. All specials include an appetizer and dessert can be added for an additional $6.

La Fondita Back From Break

La Fondita has reopened after a short winter break and the restaurant is now open Thursday through Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and in addition to the regular menu, is offering daily specials which include: plato de fajitas on Monday; tacos al paster on Thursday; chile relleno, tacos de birria de res, birria de res and quesabirria on Friday; Parrilla mixta, tacos de birria de res, birria de res and quesabirria on Saturday; and tacos de birria de res, birria de res and quesabirria on Sunday.

Sparkling Pointe Vineyards in Southold is kicking off the new year with a lineup of unique events and specials designed to celebrate the season in style. From “Dry Wine January” to indulgent Valentine’s pairings and hands-on Master Classes, these events offer plenty of opportunities for fun.

Sparkling Pointe is redefining “Dry January” by spotlighting its top dry sparkling wines.
