The Big Game at Birdies

On Sunday, February 11, join the Ultimate “Big Game” Party at Birdies Ale House in Southampton. The festivities begin at Birdies at 5:30 p.m. and run until 11:30 p.m. and are sponsored by Jägermeister. That means guests can enjoy Jägermeister inspired cocktails, Jager Bomb Jell-O shots, complimentary Jägermeister inspired halftime buffet plus exciting raffle prizes. Birdies Ale House has 14 TVs for the ultimate game viewing.

Don’t miss out on the action-packed “Big Game” Sunday. Grab your friends and head to Birdies Ale House for a night filled with great drinks, delicious food and make it a football game day to remember.

Valentine’s Day Specials on the South Fork

Love is in the air, and on the menu. Here is a rundown of restaurants on the East End offering special menus for Valentine’s Day.

Hampton Bays

R.Aire at Hampton Maid in Hampton Bays (259 East Montauk Highway, 631-728-4166, hamptonmaid.com) is offering an exquisite three-course dinner on Valentine’s Day featuring smoked rosemary oysters, short rib ragu pappardelle, 45-day in-house dry-aged ribeye for $85 per person, with and optional chef-curated wine pairing for another $35. Live music will be provided by guitarist Vito Genna. Contact R.AIRE directly to book. In addition, on Saturday, February 17, at 7:30 p.m., R.Aire will offer its six-course chef tasting menu for $120 per person (taxes, beverages and gratuity extra) with an add-on chef curated wine pairing for $65. Reservations can be made on Resy.

Canoe Place Inn & Cottages in Hampton Bays (239 East Montauk Highway, 631-763-6300, canoeplace.com) will offer a special Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu at its Good Ground Tavern for $95.

Southampton

Southampton Publick House in Southampton (62 Jobs Lane, 631-283-2800, publick.com) celebrates Valentine’s Day with a three-course prix fixe dinner for $39.95, half price bottles of wine and Moet Chandon Champagne from 5 to 10 p.m. Live music for romantics will be performed by Raimondo-Quezada at 7 p.m. Reservations are recommended.

Clamman Seafood Market in Southampton (235 North Sea Road, 631-283-6669, clamman.com) will offer a take-out only special on Valentine’s Day. Buy any size lobster, and they’ll cook, crack and split it for free.

Paul’s Italian Restaurant in Southampton (21 Hill Street, 631-283-1861, paulsitalianrestaurant.com) will be serving Valentine’s Day specials. Reservations are suggested.

Bridgehampton

Almond Restaurant in Bridgehampton (1 Ocean Road, 631-537-5665, almondrestaurant.com) will offer a special “Shades of Red” menu in honor of Valentine’s Day on February 14. The four-course menu is $80 per person plus tax and gratuity. This special menu will be the only menu offered on Valentine’s Day. Appetizers include iced oysters, Happy Valley beef bresaola or scallop crudo. The second course is salt baked fingerlings with kaluga caviar and red onion crème fraiche. Entrees include Crescent Farm duck, General Tso’s fluke or Agathe’s lion’s mane mushroom “ribeye.” Dessert is blood orange and chocolate.

Bridgehampton Inn and Restaurant in Bridgehampton (2266 Montauk Highway, 631-537-3660, bridgehamptoninn.com) will open at 5:30 p.m. on Valentine’s Day and is serving its a la carte menu along with Chef Alejandro’s specials for Valentine’s Day. Also enjoy Kyle’s crafted cocktails and charming ambiance. Call for reservations.

Sag Harbor

Page at 63 Main in Sag Harbor (63 Main Street, 631-725-1810, page63main.com) will offer several specials for Valentine’s Day. Appetizers include tuna and Arctic char tartare, hot and sour salmon soup, duck and pork terrine. Entrees include surf and turf with a seared 6 oz. filet mignon and one seared scallop, a pan-seared East Coast halibut, grilled Egyptian spiced veal rib chop. Dessert will be profiteroles, white chocolate gelato and roasted pistachios with raspberry rose water sauce.

East Hampton

The 1770 House Restaurant & Inn in East Hampton (143 Main Street, 631-324-1770, 1770house.com/restaurant) celebrates Valentine’s Day on February 14, with a $95 three-course prix fixe menu by chef Michael Rozzi. The menu will be offered in the dining room and Tavern. Rozzi’s menus may be enjoyed with bubbly toast selections from the 250-bottle Wine Spectator award-winning list overseen by wine director Michael Cohen.

Fresno Restaurant in East Hampton (8 Fresno Place, 631-324-8700, fresnorestaurant.com) will be open on Valentine’s Day, February 14. The specials available for the holiday include $2 Montauk Pearl oysters on the half shell, local tuna crudo, oysters Rockefeller, grilled filet mignon with seared foie gras and sauce bordelaise, pan seared local scallops and dark bittersweet chocolate terrine. A 375ml bottle of Billecart Rosé will be available for 25 percent off. The regular a la carte menu will also be available.

Nick & Toni’s in East Hampton (136 North Main Street, East Hampton, 631-324-3550, nickandtonis.com) celebrates Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, February 14, and from Friday, February 16 through Sunday, February 18, with a special three-course prix fixe menu. Cost is $125 per person, plus tax and gratuity and all diners will receive a complimentary glass of Crémant de Loire Clos Briderie ‘Pureté de Silex’ Brut Rosé NV. Reservations are recommended.

Shelter Island

Léon 1909 on Shelter Island (29 West Neck Road, 631-749-9123, leon1909.com) celebrates Valentine’s Day with a menu of specials that includes: foie gras with candied hearth-roasted pumpkin and warm brioche; grilled lobster with black trumpet mushrooms, spinach and lemon verbena consommé; and braised lamb shank with heirloom beans. Reservations are recommended at reservations@leon1909.com.

Riverhead and the North Fork

Cooperage Inn in Baiting Hollow (2218 Sound Avenue, 631-727-8994, cooperageinn.com) is offering its regular menu on Valentine’s Day and chef’s specials for the holiday. The restaurant is the gateway to the North Fork Wine Trail. Call for reservations

Farm Country Kitchen in Riverhead (513 West Main Street, 631-369-6311, farmcountrykitchenli.com) is offering a three-course price fixe dinner all day for $45 on February 14, 15 and 16.

Tweed’s Restaurant & Buffalo Bar in Riverhead (17 East Main Street, 631-208-3151, tweedsrestaurantriverhead.com) will be offering a prix fixe for two for $132 starting with a Caesar or mixed leaves salad, followed by a main course of bone-in bison tomahawk steak and for dessert, a choice of strawberry cheesecake or chocolate cake. Additional specials will be available.

The Frisky Oyster in Greenport (27 Front Street, 631-477-4265, thefriskyoyster.com) is getting frisky on Valentine’s Day for those ready to celebrate love and friendship on February 14. Enjoy The Frisky Oyster’s cozy and romantic vibe beginning at 5 p.m. Reservations are recommended.
