Noodle-Making Demo 
At Sen Sag Harbor

Ever wanted to learn to make your own noodles? Now is your chance! Winter Prix Fixe 
At The 1770 House

The 1770 House Restaurant & Inn in East Hampton is serving a $55 winter two-course prix fixe dinner menu by Chef Michael Rozzi in the main dining room and downstairs Tavern. First course selections include spicy yellowfin tuna tartare, Faroe Islands salmon sashimi, Brussels sprouts and Granny Smith apple salad, butternut squash bisque, roasted Carolina quail and seared Hudson Valley foie gras. Second course offerings include seared Montauk sea scallops, marinated Atlantic swordfish, semolina flour gnocchetti with smoked trout, roasted Amish chicken, braised domestic lamb shank with saffron risotto and roasted ‘Painted Hills’ striploin marrow emulsion. Favorites such as The Tavern Burger and 1770 House Tavern Meatloaf are also available as the second course of the prix fixe menu, as a single course at the Tavern Bar and as part of the take-out menu.

Optional sharing dishes for the table are also available including Widow’s Hole (Greenport) oysters on the half-shell with Milk Pail apple mignonette with cubanelle pepper and scallion ($21 half-dozen/$38 dozen) and Peconic escargot flatbread with maitake mushroom, roasted shallot, garlic, fennel pollen and Parmesan ($17).

House desserts ($12-14) include chocolate layer cake with dark chocolate sauce; ricotta cheesecake with blackberries and dried orange in a hazelnut-graham cracker crust; sticky date cake with toffee sauce and salted caramel gelato; and warm cinnamon cider donuts with roasted Milk Pail apples, rum-caramel and vanilla gelato.

The take-out menu at 1770 House continues with fine dining and Tavern favorites available from 5:30 nightly. Also available is a Holiday Feast to go for six for $500. Suckling Pig 
On Christmas Eve

Almond Restaurant in Bridgehampton has announced its 21st annual Christmas Eve tradition of Berkshire suckling pig roast sourced this year from Roaming Acres Farm served with seasonal accompaniments for $49. A portion of the revenue from Christmas Eve will be donated to the Pajama Program (pajamaprogram.org). The program provides new, warm pajamas and books to children in need in the United States and around the world, many of whom are waiting to be adopted. The regular a la carte menu will also be available. Hours on Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24, are 5 to 9 p.m. Almond will be closed on Christmas Day. Christmas Eve 
At Nick & Toni’s

Nick & Toni’s in East Hampton will offer a special prix fixe menu for Christmas Eve on Friday, December 24. The three course menu will be $125 per person and offered from 5 to 10 p.m. The menu, subject to change, includes an antipasti choice of tatsoi salad, burrata, grilled octopus, hand cut chitarra or littleneck clams oreganata. Secondi choices include roasted pumpkin and ricotta agnolotti with brown butter and sage, Maine lobster risotto, polenta with wild mushrooms and Barolo wine ragout, halibut, whole roasted fish, free range chicken, wagyu New York strip steak, and broccoli rabe with spicy breadcrumbs, baby spinach and roasted mushrooms, green beans and toasted almonds. Dolci options include chocolate truffle torte, eggnog panna cotta, lemon cake or Nick & Toni’s tartufo for two — caramel truffle, chocolate and hazelnut gelato and almond biscotti. An a la carte children’s menu will also be available.

Art of Eating For the Holidays

The Art of Eating’s Holiday Catering Menu is available for Christmas and New Year’s. All menu items are prepared with local and organic foods wherever possible and always produced in small batches. To make things even easier Art of Eating will beautifully display room temperature items on disposable wood platters or customers can drop off their own pieces at Art of Eating and the staff will set up the food on china from home.

Available food options include nibbles like organic mixed nuts, marinated olives, lobster salad, a relish tray, flatbread, shrimp cocktail, a caviar board, artisan cheeses (both imported and American), antipasto, meatballs, dips and spreads, deviled eggs, foie gras, sushi and more. Also available are soups, salads and other starters, seafood offerings for Feast of the Seven Fishes and beyond, and entrées like paella, roast cod, filet of beef, duck, turkey, ham, short ribs, roasted vegetables and a large selection of desserts and more.

Christmas orders must be placed by December 16 and New Year’s orders must be placed by December 22. Pick up is on December 23, between 3 and 6 p.m., by 11:30 on Christmas Eve and on December 31 by 5 p.m. at Art of Eating’s Barn, 264 Butter Lane, Bridgehampton.
