The rumor mill is turning in Westhampton Beach where whispers say that the former Magic’s Pub on Main Street has been sold.
The sale was announced in passing at a recent Westhampton Beach Village Board meeting, but a deed transfer has not yet been filed for the business that was shuttered in late 2010 while proprietor Donald Clark MacPherson was awaiting trial and eventually incarcerated for his role in an $82 million mortgage fraud scheme targeting homes on the East End.
It is unclear who the property sold to or for how much, or if the new owners hope to maintain the wet use and open a restaurant.
