Downton Abbey Dinner

The Inn Spot By The Bay on Lighthoue Road and the Hampton Bays Historical Society will co-host a “Downton Abbey”-themed dinner party on Saturday, May 21, at 7 p.m. The seven-course dinner with wine pairing is $175 per person. The courses are forest mushroom soup, sailsberry wellington, tomato and dill aspic, Atlantic salmon, Brancaster Castle roulade, Highland venison and iles flotant. Period dress is expected, and tiaras are encouraged. Reservations are required. Oyster Benefit

South Fork Natural History Museum will hold a reception at Bay Kitchen Bar in East Hampton on Saturday, May 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. to benefit the East Hampton Shellfish Education & Enhancement Directive. The directive is in collaboration among SoFo, East Hampton Town and Veterinarians International to educate the community about the importance of oysters to the ecosystem and as a sustainable food source. Proceeds will support the town shellfish hatchery’s oyster gardening project to enable residents to grow oysters that will improve water quality in local bays. Admission is $65 and includes Greenport Harbor Brewing Company beer, Channing Daughters wine, oysters and other light fare. Arbor Replaces Ciao

Mediterranean-style restaurant Arbor will open this month in Montauk at 240 Fort Pond Rd, the space that most recently housed Ciao by the Beach.

Marc Rowan, the co-founder of Apollo Global Management, is the owner, while Steven Jauffrineau serves as managing director and Pierre Sudre is the executive chef.
Mr. Jauffrineau’s credits include Manhattan’s French bistro La Goulue and Shelter Island’s Sunset Beach. The arbor entrance and gardens with a circular outdoor bar lead to an airy interior with a 30-foot bar, a sunken dining area with half walls, and a wine cellar with floor to ceiling glass walls.

Karamba Opens 
In Former JT’s

Georges Takes Helm
At Topping Rose House

Jean Georges is now running Topping Rose House, the upscale farm-to-table restaurant in Bridgehampton. Chef Tom Colicchio led the restaurant at its inception in 2012, and left in January 2015.

New Juice Press

Juice Press will open the doors to its new East Hampton location on Monday, May 23, at 55 Main Street.

Juice Press serves fresh made raw vegan, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and soups, salads and other food. The store is Juice Press’s third Hamptons location, following Southampton and Bridgehampton.

Grey Lady Comes To Montauk

The site that was Harbor last year, 440 West Lake Drive in Montauk, will become an outpost of Grey Lady, a Lower East Side oyster restaurant that also has locations in Aspen, Colorado, and Nantucket, Massachusetts. An outdoor sand seating area that Harbor used will be eliminated, and a deck for outdoor dining is being reduced from 1,242 square feet to 376 square feet. Total seating, indoor and out, is 48. Kozu To Open 
In Southampton

75 Main proprietor Zach Erdem will open Japanese restaurant Kozu Hamptons at 135 Main St, the location that was most recently the Greek restaurant Nammos Estiatorio. Mr. Erdem was a manager at the location when it was Nello Summertimes. Kozu’s menu is by John Keller of Nobu and Joseph Kim. After dinner, Kozu will turn into the nightclub Beach House. And Hotel ZE there will offer nine rooms with five suites. Kozu is slated to open May 25.
