Two wine tastings at different restaurants sponsored by the Hamptons Wine Shoppe in Westhampton Beach and a wine dinner featuring the wines of Channing Daughters at The Living Room @ The Maidstone are on the calendar for the week ahead.
On Thursday, December 3, the Hamptons Wine Shoppe will host a tasting at Stone Creek Inn on Montauk Highway in East Quogue, with the option for tasters to stay for a prix fixe dinner afterward.
On Friday, December 11, the Wine Shoppe will set up a tasting at Robert’s in Water Mill from 6 to 7 p.m., again with the option to stay for a prix fixe dinner.

A slow food wine dinner will continue the celebration of the start of the holiday season at The Living Room @ The Maidstone, at 207 Main Street in East Hampton, starting at 7:30 p.m. The multiple course winter-themed meal, priced at $85 per person, will be accompanied by new releases from the critically praised Channing Daughters winery.

The Southampton Chamber of Commerce has picked Thursday, December 10, as the date for its annual Country Holiday Dinner, this year at the Southampton Inn. Cash bar cocktails accompanied by complimentary hors d’oeuvres will start the festivities at 6 p.m., and the buffet dinner prepared by chef Brian Naylor of the inn’s Oso Restaurant begins at 7:30 p.m.

Chef Damien O’Donnell of Harbor Bistro on Three Mile Harbor Road in East Hampton, a catering veteran and protégé of Roy Yamaguchi, is offering catering services throughout the holiday and winter season.
Available for any off-premise event, Mr. O’Donnell and his staff will provide full-service sit-down or buffet dinners for from six to 150 guests starting at $75 per person. Menu requests are accepted.
Following graduation from the Culinary Institute of America in 1997, Mr. O’Donnell gained experience in New York City restaurants, including Cité and the midtown hot spot, Tao. As executive chef and partner of Harbor Bistro in East Hampton, he features classic French and New American cuisine accented with hints of Asian and South American fare. The restaurant, which garnered “very good” ratings from The New York Times and Newsday, takes pride in utilizing local purveyors.
