Anne Surchin, a registered architect and a Press columnist who writes about architecture and preservation, will deliver a lecture at East Hampton Library on Thursday, September 21, about the loss of authenticity.
Presented as part of the library’s Tom Twomey Series, “From Big House to Bad House: How Authenticity Lost Its Way” will address large homes and the concerns they raise. Chip Rae will host.
Ms. Surchin is the co-author of “Houses of the Hamptons 1880-1930” and is the vice chair of the Southold Landmark Preservation Commission. She has had a residential architecture practice on the East End for more than 30 years.
