The next event in the East Hampton Library’s Tom Twomey Series will be “At Home with the Wiborgs: The Family and Their Fabled Estate,” on Friday, July 12, at 6 p.m.

In the early decades of the 20th century, no summer colony cottage loomed larger on the East Hampton horizon than the Dunes, Frank Wiborg’s now lost and forgotten estate. Architect and writer Anne Surchin traces the architectural history of the 82-acre property, and Daniel Cohen, a researcher for the East Hampton Historical Society, reveals his original findings on the family and their summers here, pulled from the attic of the old chauffeur’s quarters days before its demolition in 2012.

The talk will begin with an introduction by Laura Donnelly, great-granddaughter of Frank and Adeline Wiborg.

Admission is free. A complimentary wine reception at 5:30 p.m. will precede the program. Reservations may be made at 631-324-0222 extension 3. East Hampton Library is at 159 Main Street, East Hampton.

Coming up on Saturday, August 24, at 9:30 a.m. is “Living Better in Small Spaces,” a talk and tour with architect Roberta Sandenbergh and real estate agent Jane Dillon. Ms. Sandenbergh will talk about “space opportunities”—untapped areas in homes that can be expanded for storage and organizational purposes. Ms. Dillon will speak about the local market for small homes as well as her own experience as a small-home owner. A tour of small village homes follows.

On Saturday, September 28, at 6 p.m., “All About Oysters” will be a panel discussion with East Hampton Town Trustee John Aldred, East Hampton Shellfish Hatchery Director John “Barley” Dunne and Billion Oyster Project Executive Director Pete Malinowski. Reception to follow in the library’s courtyard with complimentary craft beer from Montauk Brewing Company.

Finally, on Saturday, October 19, at 6 p.m., the series presents “Charles Addams: Family and Friends” with H. Kevin Miserocchi, the director of the Tee & Charles Addams Foundation. His talk will be a visual presentation of the work and life of cartoonist Charles Addams, the creator of “The Addams Family,” featuring photos of the artist and his Sagaponack residence.
