Feng shui designer and author Reiko Gomez will present at Montauk Library on Wednesday, May 29, at 6 p.m. about feng shui “for your home, your life and your dreams.”

Feng shui, according to the American Feng Shui Institute, literally means “wind and water” and is an ancient Chinese study of the natural environment, used to determine the best or most favorable location for anyone and assist that person to avoid their worst or least desirable location in any environment. It’s based on a person’s birth year, surrounding environment and movements of the solar system.

Gomez is certified by the American Feng Shui Institute and studied interior design at Parsons School of Design. Her latest book is “More Than Just a Pretty Space: Make Small Changes to Your Home, Manifest Big Changes in Your Life.”

In an interactive presentation, Gomez will discuss creating a style home for mind, body and spirit and share tips for creating a home “that is balanced, harmonious, and aligned with your goals and dreams.” A Q&A and book signing will follow.

The event is free and open to the public. Register at montauklibrary.org/events or by calling 631-668-3377.
