authorStaff Writer on Oct 5, 2020

The Rogers Memorial Library will host “Gardening by the Sea” via Zoom on Saturday, October 17, at 10 a.m.

Roxanne Zimmer, the community horticulturist specialist at Cornell Cooperative Extension, will discuss plants, including perennials, shrubs and grasses that can successfully withstand the challenges of the coastal environment, like salt spray, sand or sandy soil and considerable wind.

Ms. Zimmer will share many attractive cultivars of plants that are suited to seaside gardens.

The event is free. To register, visit the library’s calendar at rogersmemorial.librarycalendar.com.
