New Board Members Elected For Horticultural Alliance

The Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons elected several new officers and directors at its annual membership meeting on December 9. Those newly elected will begin their on January 1.

Elaine Peterson of Montauk was chosen as the new president. During her one-year term as president, she will continue as editor of HAHappenings, the group’s monthly newsletter for members.

Other new board members, each serving a one-year term, included Janet Ollinger of Bridgehampton, who was elected as first vice-president and Bettina Benson of Hampton Bays, who was elected as recording secretary. Incumbent officers Lori Barnaby of Southampton was reelected as second vice-president and Bridget DeCandido of Aquebogue was reelected as corresponding secretary. A new treasurer will be appointed by the incoming board.

Two new directors were also chosen. Cathie Gottschalk of Westhampton Beach and Pamela Harwood of Bridgehampton will each begin their three-year terms on January 1. The four incumbent directors include Carole Campolo of East Hampton, Terry Coppola of Montauk, Jack Lynn of East Hampton and Patricia Wood of Water Mill.
